You will be part of Carmeuse North America, a Rock-Star team of 2500 workers and employees bringing with them their own culture and specific needs. The North American headquarters is located in Pittsburgh, PA and has over three dozen production facilities across the U.S. and Canada.

- Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including nights & weekends, etc.
- Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization.
- Math Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, frequently required to walk and occasionally required to sit.

- General plant labor and clean-up of production areas.
- Monitor and report any issues that may affect product quality.
- Fill in for various production positions during absences or increased demand.
- Perform kiln outage work and assist with refractory maintenance.
- Identify and report equipment problems to management.
- Complete pre-shift equipment reports.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including bathroom facilities.
- Operate small front-end loaders and assist with stone removal.
- Support and assist other workers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks and roles.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift moderate weights.
- Good communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
