What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Labor Lead position at Utility Construction Group?
Utility Construction Group is hiring 2 full-time General Laborers to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to learn multiple trades. Every day is different. Our work includes utility construction, tree work, excavation support, demolition, and general site labor.
Responsibilities
Tree trimming, tree removal, and debris cleanup
Assisting utility crews with underground and overhead work
Loading and unloading equipment and materials
Operating chainsaws and other hand tools (experience preferred)
Digging, trenching, and general site preparation
Traffic control and job site cleanup
Following all safety procedures and working as part of a team
Requirements
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Dependable with a strong work ethic
Experience in tree work, construction, utilities, or landscaping is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person
CDL is a plus but not required
