Looking for more than just another therapy job?

At Carlyle Senior Care of Florence, therapy is more than a service; it is an essential part of helping our residents regain independence, maintain function, and live with greater confidence and quality of life.

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated Physical Therapist (PT) who wants to join a collaborative, resident-centered, in-house therapy team where your clinical expertise, professional judgment, and voice are valued.

Whether you're helping a resident walk again after a hospitalization, improving balance and reducing fall risk, preparing someone to return home, or helping a long-term care resident maintain the abilities that matter most to them! Your work makes a difference here.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

We want our therapists to feel supported, appreciated, and empowered to practice with purpose.

You'll enjoy:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Paid Time Off
  • 401(k) retirement benefits
  • Annual performance reviews
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement
  • A collaborative in-house therapy team
  • Supportive therapy and facility leadership
  • The opportunity to use your clinical judgment and creativity
  • A culture that encourages therapists to advocate for their residents
  • Meaningful relationships with residents, families, and your interdisciplinary team
  • The chance to see the impact of your work every single day

What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist, you'll help residents move better, become stronger, stay safer, and reach their highest practical level of independence.

You will:

  • Evaluate mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional abilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals
  • Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions
  • Help residents regain independence following illness, injury, surgery, or hospitalization
  • Identify and address fall risk, mobility decline, weakness, and changes in function
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and safety strategies
  • Collaborate with nursing, physicians, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in care planning and advocate for residents' functional needs
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, federal, and facility requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings clinical skill, compassion, teamwork, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Qualifications include:

  • Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
  • Ability to work effectively with geriatric and medically complex populations

New Graduates Are Welcome!

Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatrics is preferred, but it is not required.

We welcome experienced clinicians and new graduates who are passionate about working with older adults and want an opportunity to grow in a supportive environment.

Knowledge of Medicare Part A and Part B rehabilitation services, electronic medical records, and geriatric rehabilitation is a plus.

Do Work That Matters

There is something incredibly rewarding about ending your day knowing that because of the care YOU provided, a resident walked farther, transferred more safely, regained confidence, returned home, or maintained an ability that was important to them.

That's the impact of therapy at Carlyle Senior Care of Florence.

If you're looking for a position where you can feel valued and appreciated, grow professionally, use your clinical expertise, build meaningful relationships, and see the difference your work makes, we would love to meet you!
