Position Summary
Carl Black Automotive Group is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused BDC Representative to join our Business Development Center.
This role is NOT involved in the sales transaction process. Instead, you will represent our dealership’s reputation, transparency, and long-standing presence in the community to encourage customers to visit the store.
Your primary responsibility is to professionally engage with potential customers, answer questions, and set appointments — acting as the welcoming first point of contact, not a salesperson. This is an on-site, full-time role.
Shift Schedule
(We alternate schedules where possible and work with your availability.)
- Opening Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:20 PM (1‑hr break) | Mon–Sat
- Closing Shift: 12:10 PM – 9:00 PM (1‑hr break) | Mon–Sat
- Sunday Shift: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Salary
Competitive annual earnings between $31,000–$57,000, depending on performance.

What You’ll Do
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone, internet, and email.
- Make ~100–120 outbound calls per day to follow up with prospects.
- Set 3–5 qualified appointments daily for the sales team.
- Represent the Carl Black brand with professionalism, transparency, and helpfulness.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to improve results.
- Maintain timely communication and meet daily/weekly deadlines.
- Work closely with sales and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain a positive attitude while handling customer concerns.
- Stay self‑motivated, organized, and accountable.
What This Role Is Not
- You do NOT negotiate prices.
- You do NOT sell vehicles.
- You do NOT handle paperwork or the transaction process.
Your role is to build trust, answer questions, and encourage customers to visit — leveraging our dealership’s reputation and community presence to drive showroom traffic.
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Friendly phone presence and strong people skills.
- Self-driven and dependable.
- Must be available for full-time hours, including some closing shifts and either Saturday or Sunday when needed.
