Job Description:
As the head coach of the NJCAA Men's Wrestling Program at Carl Albert State College, you will oversee all aspects of the team, including recruiting, scheduling, budgeting, fundraising, practice, match days, and camps. Your responsibilities will also involve working with campus gym rentals for events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage player conduct and discipline according to CASC Policies & Procedures, Student Handbook, and Athletic Handbook.
- Assist student athletes with Admissions, Financial Aid, and NJCAA documentation.
- Support other sports with Game Day Management duties both in and out of season.
- Coordinate team academic advising sessions and orientation with Enrollment Management.
- Promote the program through participation in State and Regional organizations, such as the Oklahoma Coaches Association and NJCCA Region II.
- Perform other duties assigned by the VP for Student Affairs/Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum 5 years coaching experience at HS, NJCAA, NAIA, or NCAA College level preferred, with notable individual and team accomplishments
- Current AED, CPR, and First Aid Certification (or willing to acquire within first month of employment)
- Able to balance coaching with athlete education concerns
- Clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required
Compensation:
