- Setting up the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies before surgery.
- Checking and operating surgical and diagnostic equipment.
- Preparing patients for surgery, including disinfection and positioning.
- Scrubbing in by maintaining sterile attire and handling instruments during procedures.
- Assisting with specimen care, suturing, dressing, and maintaining the operating room environment.
- Adhering to professional standards and participating in ongoing training.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience may substitute certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire.
