Role: EEG Technician specializing in high-quality EEGs and epilepsy monitoring, including routine, video, and portable studies.
Key Responsibilities: Perform and calibrate EEGs following ACNS guidelines, ensuring technical excellence. Communicate with physicians regarding patient studies and conditions. Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations. Assist with technical issues during remote monitoring and maintain equipment. Contribute to staff morale, quality control, education, and customer service.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent; neurodiagnostic certification (e.g., R. EEG T.) required; BLS certification. Knowledge of EEG procedures, seizure identification, and interpretation. Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to ongoing education.
Additional Info: No prior experience required; neurodiagnostic experience preferred. This non-management role reports to a supervisor and involves taking call on a rotating basis. The work is performed during day shifts at a hospital facility.
