Role: MRI Technologist
Responsibilities: Perform MRI exams by selecting appropriate protocols, preparing and positioning patients, injecting contrast media, and capturing high-quality cross-sectional images. Ensure patient safety by following screening procedures and infection control protocols. Accurately document procedures in RIS, transfer images to PACS, and review physician orders for completeness. Provide patient education, address concerns, and transport patients as needed. Maintain equipment, supplies, and exam rooms, perform quality assurance testing, and participate in safety and compliance initiatives. Supervise and instruct students when required.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Radiography or MRI program, ARRT or ARM RIT certification, BLS certification. Skills include PACS and digital technology proficiency, understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, effective communication, multitasking, troubleshooting, and handling diverse patient populations. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize are essential.
