Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing professional nursing care in a long-term care setting, under supervision of registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians.
Responsibilities: Assess residents, administer medications and treatments, ensure safety and comfort, document care activities, and support interdisciplinary team collaboration. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers, maintaining confidentiality and providing education on self-care and prevention strategies.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, with an unencumbered LPN license. Preferred associate degree and specific training in IV therapy where applicable. Must have clinical experience or equivalent hours as an LPN. Maintain required certifications, competencies, and continuing education.
Skills: Knowledge of nursing principles, resident assessment, medication administration, emergency response, and effective communication. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and develop resident-centered care plans.
