What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donor Relation Coordinator position at Caridad Center?
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation and support of the strategic direction of all campaigns and activities related to annual and planned giving campaigns.
- Work closely with the Director of Development & Communications to establish long-term goals and objectives for each contribution category.
- Leverage Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT database to research and analyze individual donors and prospects to develop strategies for gift growth acquisitions.
- Serve as primary contact for individual donors at less than $25,000 annually, including Hearts of Hope members.
- Develop clear lines of communication with all staff and volunteers.
- Develop and oversee a timely and relevant gift acknowledgment program.
- Work closely with managers and leadership team to establish a clear line of interdepartmental communication and coordinate donor and prospect management.
- Design and implement donor appreciation and cultivation events and activities.
- Monitor all revenue and expenses related to the Annual and Planned Giving programs.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours (evenings and some weekends) for planned activity events.
- Submit weekly gift reports and coordinate the monthly reconciliation process with the Finance Department.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Assume other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Director of Development & Communications.
Marketing Responsibilities
- Designs and coordinates collateral material needed to promote the mission or fundraising needs of Caridad, including the monthly e-newsletter and print and digital brochures, flyers, and invitations.
- Works with printers and designers on projects and meets strict deadlines.
- Works with independent contractors for ongoing updates of Caridad’s website, social media pages, and additional digital channels.
- Creates media kits and monitors brand guidelines and Caridad’s communications plan.
- Sources and develops content and stories for donors and stakeholders.
- Represents Caridad professionally through community outreach and tours.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in relevant fundraising positions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in direct fundraising/marketing.
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- A self-motivated team player who can energize and lead both donors and volunteers.
- Dedication, flexibility, attention to detail, and creativity are a must.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of social media channels.
- Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT or an equivalent donor management system.
Salary : $25,000
