Compensation: $41–$51 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elementary School Counselor to provide support for students in an elementary school setting in Easton, Maryland. This position is available due to a current vacancy and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school year.

The School Counselor will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student success, foster positive school culture, and help students navigate personal and academic challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to elementary-aged students.
• Support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development.
• Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution when needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address student needs.
• Develop and implement counseling programs and student support plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
• Participate in school meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and parent conferences.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland School Counselor License required.
• Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
