About AHA Careers
AHA Careers exists to flip America’s 20% job-satisfaction rate on its head.
We believe people thrive when they work inside their natural talents, true passions, and zone of genius — not when they are forced to perform 100% of a job description for one company.
Our model is simple:
- Let people do the 10–20% of work they love
- Let them do it for multiple companies, not just one
- Help them earn more per hour by focusing on the work where they are exceptional
- Give them flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful impact
AHA Careerists come from all industries, backgrounds, and levels of experience. This role is one example of how we match people to work that fits them — not the other way around.
The Role: Product Quality Inspector (On-Site)
We are building a roster of product quality inspectors who can support small food brands during production runs at co-manufacturers in Omaha.
Your job is simple: Evaluate the final product with your eyes, hands, and palate — catching issues early and ensuring consistency.
What You Will Do
- Inspect finished products for visual defects (shape, color, texture, spotting)
- Taste and evaluate product for flavor consistency and quality
- Check basic measurements (weight, size, count, packaging integrity)
- Take photos and quick notes of findings
- Report any deviations or quality drift
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with plant staff
- Follow all plant rules and food safety requirements
- Be the “eyes and ears” for the brand during the run
What You Won't Do
- Be dragged into operations — no running lines or covering shifts
- Troubleshoot equipment — no becoming the “unofficial mechanic”
- Get buried in documentation or audit prep — no batch-record marathons or mock recalls
Compensation (1099 Contractor)
This is a 1099 contractor role with flexible, project-based assignments.
Most inspectors earn the equivalent of $30/hr or more, depending on the assignment. Your rate may increase based on product category, plant, complexity, or frequency of work.

About The Bakery Bunch
The Bakery Bunch is a niche recruiting team focused exclusively on the baking industry.
We began by helping commercial bakeries fill essential full-time roles — from production and maintenance to food safety, logistics, and operations.
As we grew, we noticed a second need:
small baking brands producing through co-manufacturers needed hands-on quality support, but didn’t have the team or headcount to provide it.
Through our partnership with AHA Careers, we now provide small brands with passionate, detail-oriented AHA Careerists who offer flexible, high-impact quality support during production.
