Description:

Immediate need for Intermediate to Senior Level Project Managers to work on various MTA projects. Extensive site work which could be wherever MTA travels. Will manage on-site contractors on a variety of MTA projects, adhering to budget and schedule.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will act as Project Manager to small and mid-size contractors on a variety of MTA projects.
• Manage and supervise multiple projects that are related to the MTA, regarding subways, LIRR, and Metro North.
• Projects could be anything from track work to station platforms, stairways, to sidewalks overhead.
• Manage physical, technical, cost, and scheduling objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Must have significant experience in effectively managing small contractors on multiple projects while adhering to budget and schedule.
• Should have construction experience with the MTA or any similar public agency.
• Should have an engineering or architecture degree or similar.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in Construction Management.
• Must have a demonstrated ability in management, supervision, analysis of technical and legal questions.
• Should have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
• Familiar with scheduling, cost estimating, MS Project, etc.
• Training in safety and quality assurance.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
