Description:
The Senior VP will oversee all aspects of design, development, and construction for a large-scale missed-use complex in Queens. This candidate will be responsible for project delivery from conceptual design through turnover. The ideal candidate brings a track record of successfully managing full lifecycle delivery of large commercial or mixed-use projects in NYC.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all phases of project execution from entitlement, design, and preconstruction through construction and delivery.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies.
- Serve as primary project executive representing the owner’s interests.
- Oversee and coordinate design consultants to ensure design aligns with objectives and budget.
- Manage design development process.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive preconstruction plan.
- Oversee preparation of bid packages and ensure competitive pricing throughout.
- Provide executive direction and oversight to construction manager.
- Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cost.
- Develop and maintain overall project budget and scheduling.
- Direct permitting processes with NYC agencies (DOB, DOT, DEP, FDNY, etc.)
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects
- Proven leadership of full project lifecycle, from design through construction and delivery.
- Strong understanding of NYC building codes, zoning, and agency approval process.
- Experience managing 3rd party construction managers and multiple design consultants.
- Exceptional budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
Salary : $290,000 - $315,000
