We’re looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician with proven experience supporting industrial boiler systems, piping infrastructure, and production machinery in a high‑volume manufacturing facility in Lafayette, IN. This is a hands‑on role for a technician who enjoys working on critical plant equipment and taking ownership of system reliability, safety, and uptime.
If you have strong mechanical ability, pipefitting experience, and a solid understanding of industrial equipment, this is a long‑term opportunity with excellent pay and first‑shift hours.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial boiler systems, steam, and fluid distribution equipment
- Install, thread, run, and repair piping systems (black pipe, stainless steel, copper)
- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial machinery and equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Rebuild and install gearboxes, pumps, bearings, shafts, motors, and couplers
- Perform maintenance welding (MIG, Stick, TIG) on equipment and piping systems
- Align and balance rotating equipment and motors
- Maintain lubrication schedules and accurate maintenance documentation
- Assist with equipment installations, startups, shutdowns, and plant improvement projects
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Provide hands‑on technical support to operations and maintenance teammates
What We’re Looking For (Must‑Have Experience):
- 2–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience with boilers, piping systems, and pipefitting
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial machinery and equipment
- Welding experience (MIG, Stick, TIG preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Comfortable working at heights up to 80 feet
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. regularly
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and industrial safety standards
- Willingness to obtain RCRA and Mobile Equipment Certifications
