An established and growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a hands-on CNC Team Lead to support machining operations, production flow, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in daily operations while helping drive efficiency, quality, and team performance across multiple production cells.
What you will be doing as a CNC Team Lead
- Coordinate daily workflow and production priorities across machining operations
- Program and set-up CNC lathe machines and other production equipment
- Determine the sequence of operations, methods of setup and layout
- Use measuring gauges to perform product quality checks
- Assist with employee training, coaching, and floor leadership
- Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with production specifications
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, uptime, and waste reduction
- Partner with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime
- Support inventory, tooling, and vendor coordination activities
- Promote a safe, organized, and team-oriented manufacturing environment
What you will need as a CNC Team Lead
- Prior experience within a CNC or precision manufacturing environment
- CNC Programming experience.
- Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in production operations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience reading blueprints and working with precision measurements
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement principles
- Strong communication and organizational skills
