About the Company
A leading AmLaw firm is seeking a Trust & Estate Planning Associate (1–3 years’ experience) to join its Private Wealth & Estate Planning team in Tampa. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term practice advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated, tax-driven planning matters.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with experienced partners on complex estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and business succession planning, with early responsibility and direct client exposure. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop expertise in high-end private wealth work within a collaborative, nationally recognized platform.
Responsibilities
- Drafting complex estate planning documents (wills, revocable/irrevocable trusts, advanced structures)
- Advising on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
- Supporting business succession and wealth transfer strategies
- Assisting with trust and estate administration and probate matters
- Preparing or supporting federal estate and gift tax filings
- Working on charitable planning and tax-exempt structures
Qualifications
- 1–3 years’ experience in Trusts & Estates (LL.M. in Taxation considered as an alternative to experience)
Required Skills
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- Interest in working with high-net-worth clients
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Florida Bar admission required
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and desire to build a long-term T&E practice
Pay range and compensation package
Top-of-market compensation: $225,000 –$260,000
