A premier Illinois-based law firm, we are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their thriving practice. This well-established firm is a recognized leader in the representation of community associations (condominiums, townhomes, and HOAs), not-for-profit corporations, and financial institutions.

With over a century of combined legal expertise, the firm is known for delivering proactive and practical solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator looking to transition into a specialized, high-growth field with a stable and respected team. This position focuses on a blend of litigation and transactional matters, specifically centered on the governance and daily operations of community associations. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to boards of directors and property managers while managing a diverse and active caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions and discovery.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions and mediations throughout Northern Illinois and Cook County.
• Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, debt collection, document amendments and contract preparation.
• Advise Boards of Directors and property managers on compliance and legislative updates.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of litigation experience (Trial experience and insurance defense background strongly preferred).
• Active member of the Illinois Bar in good standing.
• Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills; ability to manage cases independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
