Position: Temp Payroll Specialist

Location: Santa Monica (2-3 days onsite)

Pay Rate: $30-40/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm

Duration: (~5-months) ASAP until December

Position Summary: A growing investment management firm is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support U.S. payroll operations during a period of organizational growth and a temporary leave of absence. This role will process payroll for approximately 200 U.S. employees using ADP Workforce Now while supporting payroll integration efforts following a recent acquisition and assisting with a year-end Workday implementation.

Responsibilites:

• Process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 200 U.S.-based employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
• Review employee timecards, PTO balances, payroll changes, and employee data to maintain payroll accuracy.
• Generate, analyze, and reconcile payroll reports while identifying discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
• Serve as a resource for employee payroll inquiries and assist with payroll-related documentation and reporting.
• Partner with Payroll and Accounting leadership to support audits, reconciliations, compliance, and special projects.
• Assist with the integration of payroll operations following a recent acquisition and help support year-end payroll system migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve payroll processes and maintain accurate employee payroll records.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of payroll experience, preferably supporting mid-sized corporate organizations.
• Hands-on experience processing payroll through ADP Workforce Now is required
• Strong understanding of payroll reporting, data analysis, and reconciliation with advanced attention to detail.
• Experience supporting payroll transitions, system implementations, or process improvements is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to work comfortably with large datasets and reporting.
