Our client, a well-established and highly regarded restaurant in Boston, MA, is seeking a Front of House Manager to join their team at their flagship location.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, manage, and schedule all Front of House staff
- Lead and motivate a team while fostering a collaborative, ego-free work environment
- Ensure servers, hosts, and bussers consistently provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all guests
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any concerns professionally
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure consistent food quality and service
- Coordinate reservations and oversee the seating of guests
- Manage budgets and track restaurant expenses
- Monitor inventory and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
- Identify and account for any product loss
- Support overall restaurant operations and profitability
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of Front of House management experience in a restaurant of similar volume
- Strong leadership and team-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Business management and financial understanding
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to leave ego at the door
- Must be comfortable working 3–4 closing shifts per week
