Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Independent Contractors to join our commercial cleaning team. This opportunity is primarily for commercial cleaning coverage, with additional opportunities for post-construction cleaning projects as they become available.
Pay: $20–$35/hour, depending on the assignment and scope of work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence
- Conduct sanitation tasks including trash removal, surface disinfection, and restroom maintenance to ensure a hygienic environment
- Utilize custodial experience and heavy lifting techniques to move furniture or equipment safely while following safe lifting practices.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning standards
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and the safe handling of chemical agents
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling safety procedures and general workplace safety guidelines
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
