Key Responsibilities:
Claims Processing & Payment Posting
Process electronic claim files and review reports daily.
Correct and resubmit denied or rejected claims.
Post insurance payments accurately within 3-5 business days.
Appeal improperly processed claims in a timely manner.
Account Follow-Up & Communication
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims weekly.
Research and resolve insurance inquiries and claim denials.
Answer patient questions regarding insurance and billing issues with professionalism and clarity.
Work closely with clinical staff, payers, and patient accounts team to resolve discrepancies.
Compliance & Team Collaboration
Stay informed about insurance regulations and share updates with the team.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the training and onboarding of new insurance staff.
What Were Looking For:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Two years of insurance, medical billing, or revenue cycle experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable with computer technology and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Ability to handle patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
