Our busy cardiology practice is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chart Preparation staff member to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. This position is responsible for preparing patient charts, obtaining medical records, and ensuring providers have the necessary documentation for upcoming appointments.
The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare administrative or medical records experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office environment.
This is a full-time, day shift position with no weekends and paid holidays off.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review patient charts prior to appointments
- Obtain and organize medical records and supporting documentation
- Ensure providers have complete records for patient visits
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
- Assist with medical records requests and release of information processes
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Organize and manage patient documentation efficiently
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support patient care
Qualifications
- Previous medical records or healthcare administrative experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and release of information procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
