This safety-sensitive position is responsible for scheduling rides, communicating with drivers, and ensuring passengers are transported safely and on time. What You'll Do
- Answer incoming calls and schedule transportation requests.
- Dispatch drivers using a two-way radio communication system.
- Prepare driver schedules and daily manifests.
- Coordinate transportation for medical appointments and out-of-county trips.
- Communicate with passengers, families, agencies, and staff regarding transportation.
- Monitor vehicle and driver status and assist with maintenance communication.
- Review driver paperwork and complete required reports.
- Help coordinate driver schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Serve as a backup driver when needed.
- Assist the General Manager with office operations and other assigned duties.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of office experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, including email and word processing.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.
- Must successfully pass required background checks, driving record review, and drug screening.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, twist, push, pull, and assist passengers when necessary.
- Must meet applicable DOT/FMCSA physical qualifications if driving agency vehicles.
