Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all classroom functions with professionalism and care
- Implement daily educational programs that support developmental milestones
- Maintain accurate daily records and documentation
- Facilitate engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
- Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality Head Start programming
- Provide mentorship and guidance to classroom support staff
- Caring, upbeat personality
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Study Plan available)
- Initial or Permanent B-2 Certification (or equivalent; Study Plan available)
- 2–5 years of experience working with children ages birth–4 in a classroom setting
- Head Start experience preferred
- Daily access to reliable transportation to Bronx, NY
- Flexibility with assigned work location(s)
- Ability to pass and maintain acceptable record related to the mandated criminal background check process
