Join our team as a Youth Coach, where you'll build meaningful, long-term relationships and guide youth through critical life transitions-from high school graduation to post-secondary success and career development.Responsibilities: Build trusting relationships with up to 18 young people. Provide consistent social and emotional support. Collaborate 1:1 with youth to set and achieve academic and career goals aligned with their strengths and interests. Connect youth to quality schools, programs, and resources. Support persistence in educational and vocational settings, helping youth navigate challenges and celebrate successes. Assist in transitions when programs or placements don't work out, helping youth reflect and reorient toward new goals. Work closely with Case Planners, Tutors, Specialists, and families to ensure holistic support. Foster peer connections and positive social relationships. Support youth aging out of care in securing stable housing and developing independent living skills. Requirements: Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience criteria:A Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience working with at-risk or system-involved young people. An Associate or accredited vocational degree and three or more years of experience working with at-risk or system-involved young people. Additional qualifications:Strong computer skills and ability to utilize online platforms and databases. Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing and trauma-informed care techniques. Experience working with vulnerable youth and knowledge of youth resources and services. Ability to facilitate therapeutic peer groups. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
