What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable position at CARABETTA COMPANIES?
Carabetta Property Management is actively looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team of dedicated professionals based out of our Meriden, CT office.
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with excellent clerical skills and effective communication abilities to work collaboratively with our internal staff. Additionally, the right candidate must possess exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate filing of all paperwork.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p
Pay: Depending on Experience
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process invoices for payment using 3-way matching
- Review vendor statements; research and reconcile prior balances and payments
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Generate and print paid/payable vendor reports weekly
- Mail vendor payments weekly as they are processed
- Assist other A/P staff as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems
- Ensure timely completion of all accounts payable tasks
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of AP experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (required)
- Experience with Yardi and/or Microsoft Dynamics (preferred)
- Certified Accounts Payable Specialist (CAPS) or similar Institute of Finance and Management (IOFM) certifications. (preferred)
- Associates or bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Familiarity with 3-way matching (purchase order, receiving report, invoice)
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and clerical skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
