What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resort Guest Room Professional position at Capt. Thomson's Resort?
We are seeking a seasonal full-time position as a Resort Guest Room Professional. The position requires all clean rooms to be thoroughly inspected prior to check-in time. This essential performance will also assist our housekeeping, laundry and front desk staff as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform meticulous inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation in accordance with the highest hospitality standards.
- Identify and address maintenance concerns, reporting issues promptly for swift resolution.
- Verify that all amenities are fully stocked and properly arranged to enhance the guest experience.
- Provide constructive feedback to housekeeping staff, document deficiencies, and diligently follow up on corrective actions.
- Assist in training new team members on quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, embodying a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping and service staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Champion outstanding standards of cleanliness and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for all guests.
- Port supplies to and from housekeeping closets.
- Organize supply closets.
- Lifting/carrying 25 lbs.
- Assist our housekeeping, laundry, or front desk team when needed.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and act in line with laws.
- Activities included in your daily routine: bending, reaching, stretching, walking and stair climbing
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in hospitality or laundry operations is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to instructions.
- Outstanding organizational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift laundry bags or baskets as required.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to support other housekeeping and service staff as needed.
