We are representing a Fortune 500 manufacturing organization actively seeking a Controller due to an upcoming retirement. This organization is a domestic leader in its space, known for a strong culture built around competitive benefits, compensation, and employee satisfaction. The Controller will report to the VP/General Manager, who is aiming to move quickly through the interview process.
Position Overview
- Reports to the VP/GM, with a close working relationship with the Divisional CFO
- Owns the month-end close process for a $250M operation
- Holds accountability for Cost Accounting, FP&A, and financial reporting
- Reviews and analyzes plant-level inventory transactions
- Leads and manages the month-end close cycle
- Analyzes cost data and studies to assess the financial impact on the business
- Delivers detailed financial reporting to executive leadership to support decision-making and expense control
- Supports cross-functional projects alongside the CFO, VP/GM, and Operations leadership
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; advanced degree or certification preferred (CPA, CMA, MBA, MSA, etc.)
- 3-5 years of Controller or Accounting leadership experience within a plant/manufacturing environment
- Proven experience leading the month-end close process
- Functions as a true business partner to General Management and Operations, not just a reporting resource
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
