As a Float Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties
- Ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
- Participating in on-call rotations as required
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Credentials in area of practice preferred (e.g., CNOR, PANAC, AAOPU)
- American Heart Association BLS certification (initial and biennial recertification required)
- ACLS certification within six months of employment and biennial recertification
- PALS certification within six months of employment and biennial recertification for applicable departments
- Need 1 year experience in setting
