The Application Systems Analyst III – EAM, reports to the Manager, Technology Systems. This position is responsible for the technical details, application use, and business implications of the Hexagon (formerly Infor) Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System including integrations with other systems. This role is also responsible for providing customer focused service, building positive and constructive relationships with stakeholders and customers, by understanding their needs, problems, and providing timely communication and service.

Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. This position works with multiple project timelines and is responsible for managing employees performing work of a complex nature. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment. Incumbents must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs., perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day, and function in an environment with constant interruptions. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with a disability to perform the essential functions as previously described.
Mobility Status
As a Remote position, your primary workplace is your home or another location in the state of Texas. The incumbent is expected to work in the office as needed and must have the ability to respond to a CapMetro facility within 24 hours if business needs require. Must be in-office for socialization, strategic collaboration, supervision, oversight, and accountability as needed. Mobility status is subject to change at any time based on business needs or organizational decisions. This position is based in Austin, Texas. Successful out-of-state candidates must relocate to the state of Texas prior to start date and may have the opportunity to work remotely anywhere in Texas after a specified period.

- Application Development & Integration: Configure and develop applications, custom processes, reports, queries, interfaces, and system integrations to support business needs.
- Data Integrity & Issue Resolution: Ensure data accuracy within owned systems, understand data relationships, and resolve interface or data-related issues.
- Procurement & Compliance: Prepare procurement documents for systems, licenses, maintenance, and support; manage renewals to ensure compliance with vendor requirements.
- On-Call Support: Participate in after-hours IT support rotation to ensure continuous system availability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Ownership: Partner with stakeholders to assume full IT ownership of assigned systems and projects, becoming proficient in technical and functional aspects.
- Project & Vendor Leadership: Provide technical leadership on projects, successfully lead tasks, and work with technology vendors and implementation partners to deliver solutions.
- Documentation, Training & Adoption: Develop and update technical/user documentation, train users on systems and processes, and promote system adoption across business areas.
- System Administration & Availability: Proactively manage systems through alerts, maintenance, performance tuning, updates, and patches; ensure 24/7 availability and security in collaboration with IT teams and vendors.
- Security & Risk Management: Lead compliance with security standards, monitor access privileges, conduct risk assessments, investigate suspicious activities, and mitigate threats. Plan and test disaster recovery, verify backups, and resolve issues.
- Testing, Change Management & Standards: Document test cases, perform comprehensive testing during implementations and upgrades, follow change management processes, conduct impact analysis, and communicate changes. Research, develop, and implement IT standards and best practices.
- Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by following safety and security policies, considering safety in every action and reporting safety and security concerns.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned in support of the CapMetro Strategic Goals and the IT Vision, Mission, and Objectives aligned to these Goals
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Additional related experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis up to four years.
- Six (6) years of direct experience in supporting, configuring, or implementing Hexagon (formerly Infor) Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook, or similar software
- Hands-on experience supporting and configuring the EAM system, including specific knowledge of the database structure, Data Grids, Flex, security setup, and core functional modules.
- Demonstrated experience with EAM reporting tools, dashboards and developing custom reports and queries using SQL.
- Experience in initiating, planning and implementing multiple projects related to commercial off-the-shelf applications or custom-built systems, including eliciting requirements; feasibility analysis; procurement process, and creating & monitoring project plans and schedules.
- Experience in troubleshooting, analyzing logs, utilizing debugging tools, obtaining technical assistance from software and/or database vendors or via advanced search on the web and timely resolution of technical problems.
- Experience with direct end user support in a customer service role. Demonstrated dedication to customer services.
- Excellent organization abilities, analytical skills and communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

- Ability to work in a team environment in a matrix organization, partnering well with employees, management, users, business areas, vendors, contractors and undertake duties and tasks as assigned without close supervision

- Knowledge of Information System Implementation Lifecycle desired.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and diverse groups of people and activities simultaneously
