Capitol Law Partners PLLC, a growing boutique law firm based in Herndon, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Removal Proceedings Attorney to join our removal defense practice. Our practice covers a wide range of immigration matters, including removal defense, appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals, habeas corpus petitions, and family- and employment-based immigration. We are seeking a bilingual (Turkish-English) attorney to join our growing team to focus on removal defense.

- Removal defense before the Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals
- ICE check-in representation and coverage
- Habeas corpus petitions challenging unlawful detention
- Employment-based petitions (EB-1, EB-2 NIW, O-1)
- Family-based green card and marriage-based applications
Responsibilities
- Represent clients at Master Calendar and Individual Hearings before the Immigration Court
- Prepare and file appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals
- Draft motions, briefs, and supporting legal filings
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Meet with clients to prepare affidavits, declarations, and hearing testimony
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals across the firm
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar, preferably Virginia
- Removal defense or immigration court (EOIR) experience preferred, but not required
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Fluent in Turkish and English
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
