The Imaging Center Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and performance of the imaging center. This role ensures high-quality patient care, efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and financial performance while leading clinical and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership

Oversee day-to-day operations of the imaging center, ensuring efficient workflow and patient throughput

Lead, coach, and evaluate imaging technologists, administrative staff, and support personnel

Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal resource utilization

Foster a patient-centered culture focused on service excellence and safety
Clinical & Quality Oversight

Ensure imaging services are delivered in compliance with clinical protocols, quality standards, and safety regulations

Monitor image quality, repeat rates, and patient satisfaction metrics

Implement quality improvement initiatives and best practices

Collaborate with radiologists and clinical partners to support diagnostic accuracy and service delivery
Compliance & Regulatory

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., accreditation standards, radiation safety, HIPAA)

Maintain readiness for inspections, audits, and accreditation reviews

Oversee equipment maintenance, QA programs, and vendor compliance
Financial & Business Management

Manage departmental budgets, expenses, and revenue performance

Monitor productivity, volumes, and key performance indicators

Participate in strategic planning, service line growth, and new modality implementation

Assist with contract management and vendor negotiations
Patient Experience & Physician Relations

Address patient concerns and service recovery issues promptly and professionally

Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians and healthcare partners

Support marketing and outreach efforts to grow referral volume
Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, radiologic sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in medical imaging operations or healthcare management

Prior supervisory or management experience required

Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and performance metrics

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
