What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Dental Removable Prosthetics Technician position at Capital Dental Group?
We are looking for an Experienced Dental Removable Prosthetics Technician to join our existing Technicians in our full-service in-house lab. We have state-of-the-art equipment in our lab. We have a complete digital as well as an analogue pathway for removable prosthetics fabrication. There are no outside accounts, and the lab supports only in-house doctors. If you’re tired of the rat race in a large commercial lab, perhaps this atmosphere will be more ideal.
Duties
- Read dentist notes and work orders
- Pour and check stone teeth models
- Set acrylic or plastic teeth in wax
- Build custom trays, base plates, and bite rims
- Process, finish, and polish final appliances
- Repair broken dentures and add new teeth
- Willingness to perform any duties within the scope of the role
- Team-player with a growth mindset
Required Skills
- Good hand control and fine motor skills
- Strong focus on tiny details
- Knowledge of dental plastics, waxes, and metals
- Ability to follow safety and health rules
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Lab training, certification, or past hands-on experience is required
