Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Develop and implement engaging activity plans that support childhood development and early education goals
- Ensure safety by adhering to childhood development best practices, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene to promote health and comfort
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, activities, and any concerns
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to foster inclusion and independence
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages learning and play while following safety protocols like first aid and CPR procedures
Qualifications
- Experience working with children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Prior childcare experience in settings such as daycare centers, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs teaching experience
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with safety standards
- Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
