Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
General Summary:
Delivers the retail credit and small business products of the Bank to a market segment generally defined by clients seeking small to medium consumer or commercial loans. Sells and services existing and prospective consumer and commercial client relationships as defined by manager.
This position requires the associate to drive on behalf of the Bank and the associate must adhere to Bank's Motor Vehicle Guidelines. May require increased minimum limits and therefore an increase in premiums.
In compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act, registration in the NMLS Registry is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for loan production, fees, deposits, and referrals each incentive period. Goals will be provided.
- Interviews applicants to develop information concerning their consumer and commercial lending needs, desires, abilities and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk. Cross-sells Payment Protection and other Bank insurance products.
- Makes sound underwriting and loan decisions within established lending limits as granted by the Credit Administration division, ensuring compliance with Bank policy and procedures.
- Notifies applicant of loan decision. Corresponds with clients, applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
Works with clients as needed to collect periodic financial information. - Organizes tracking of loan status. Follows current loans to ensure complete compliance with terms.
- Delivers other Bank products by referral to other retail banking partners and to appropriate business partners including Residential Real Estate, Capital City Investments, Capital City Bank Trust, Treasury Management, etc. and adheres to all stated quarterly goals.
- Collects on past due loan payments with the assistance of the Collections Department. Works with collections to reduce loss and work out problem credits.
- Calls on potential and existing clients to develop new business and increase or retain existing business.
- Gives counsel to clients and prospective clients within the parameters of a banking relationship.
- May supervise one administrative assistant.

Associates will consistently follow policies and procedures as established by Capital City Bank, Capital City Investments, Capital City Trust Company, and Capital City Home Loans, with department managers setting the standard.
Associated Duties:
Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues.
Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required
The following KSAs are usually acquired through college education with an emphasis in business-related course(s) and a minimum of five years consumer or business lending and underwriting experience:
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Excellent communication and sales skills.
- Background in bank lending policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated strong underwriting ability.
- High degree of personal integrity.
- Ongoing sales and product knowledge training is expected.
- Proficiency in Word and general working knowledge of PCs.
- Must adhere to Bank's Motor Vehicle Guidelines.
- In compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act, registration in the NMLS Registry is required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance from an accredited college required. Relevant experience in Consumer or Commercial Banking may substitute for the education requirement.

- After hours and civic involvement will be required.
- Driving as required by position.
