Senior Data Migration Engineer

• Designs develops and maintains AWS Glue jobs to extract transform and load data from legacy systems into Guidewire migration frameworks and target data structures

• Builds scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark Glue Studio Glue Workflows Lambda and Step Functions to support high-volume migration batches Implements complex data transformations cleansing rules enrichment logic and normalization required for CMTDUT loads

• Executes CMT Conversion Migration Tool and DUT Data Upload Tool loads across multiple environments ensuring accuracy consistency and compliance with Guidewire migration requirements

• Performs root-cause analysis of migration failures data quality issues and system level errors applying fixes and rerunning jobs as needed Monitors Glue job performance optimizes Spark configurations tunes partitioning and parallelization and improves throughput for large data sets

• Handles end-to-end error remediation including exception handling partial load cleanup and restartable recoverable migration patterns Works closely with data mapping teams to interpret mapping specs apply transformation logic and validate outputs against Guidewire data models Collaborates with QA teams to support data validation reconciliation defect resolution and mock migration cycles Automates repetitive migration tasks using scripts workflows CICD pipelines and parameterized Glue executions Manages S3based staging landing and processed zones ensuring correct file formats partitioning versioning and lineage tracking

• Ensures data security IAM role configuration encryption audit logging and compliance with enterprise cloud policies

• Produces detailed runbooks logs documentation and technical artifacts for batch execution troubleshooting and future migration runs

• Supports cutover weekend execution by running loads validating results resolving issues in near real-time and ensuring successful migration completion

Skills Required:

• Guidewire Claim Center Cloud Experience At least one full CC Cloud migration not on Prem only

• Knowledge of ClaimCenter financial model Handling historic data transactional data Public ID preservation strategies

• Ability to work in discoveryheavy tasks Data migration ETL

• Strong SQL complex extract process experience PySpark Glue ETL jobs

• Data profiling and validation Cloud data migration AWS Glue S3 Step Functions RDS Aurora Postgres

• Experience migrating AWS cloud

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $45.73/hour - $71.45/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
