The SCM Functional Consultant PLM is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions within an organization's Supply Chain ecosystem. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage product data, engineering changes, BOM structures, compliance, and product release processes from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
PLM Solution Design & Implementation:
Lead requirement gathering sessions for PLM capabilities such as product structures, engineering change management, document control, and product release workflows.
Translate business needs into functional specifications, configuration designs, and solution documentation.
Configure PLM modules (Agile PLM, Oracle Cloud PLM, Windchill, Teamcenter, etc., based on project requirements).
Define and implement Item Master, BOM, Change Orders, AVL/AML, and Product Data processes.
Process Mapping & Business Transformation:
Analyze current business processes and identify gaps and improvement areas.
Develop to-be processes aligned with SCM and PLM best practices.
Support cross-functional business teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality).
Data Management & Integration:
Support Item/BOM creation, updates, and lifecycle management.
Work with technical teams to integrate PLM with ERP (Oracle E-Business, Oracle Cloud SCM, SAP), CAD systems, and other product data systems.
Validate data migration activities during system upgrades or implementations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Functional Skills:
Strong knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., Oracle PLM Cloud, Agile PLM, Teamcenter, Windchill, or others).
Understanding of SCM processes such as:
Experience integrating PLM with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle ERP/SCM Cloud, EBS, SAP).
Technical Skills (Nice to Have):
Basic understanding of SQL, XML, and APIs.
Knowledge of CAD integration tools and workflows.
Familiarity with FBDI/ADFdi (for Oracle PLM Cloud).
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $46.23/hour - $72.23/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
