Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain COBOL programs on IBM zOS mainframe systems
Create modify and optimize JCL scripts for batch job execution
Work extensively with DB2 for SQL queries stored procedures and performance tuning
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Debug and troubleshoot application level issues ensuring timely resolution
Collaborate with cross functional teams including business analysts and QA for end-to-end delivery
Perform unit testing and support integration system testing
Ensure adherence to coding standards best practices and compliance requirements
Provide production support and resolve incidents related to mainframe applications
Required Qualifications:
5 years of hands-on experience in COBOL development on mainframe systems
Strong expertise in JCL and DB2 including SQL and stored procedures
Familiarity with CICS for online transaction processing
Proficiency in TSOISPF and mainframe debugging tools
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of COBOL programs
Knowledge of mainframe utilities SORT IDCAMS etc
Exposure to DevOps tools for mainframe environments
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.21/hour - $53.45/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
