We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer with strong expertise in Wi‑Fi technologies and IEEE 802.11 protocols. In this role, you will design, develop, integrate, and test Wi‑Fi software features for next‑generation gateway and extender platforms. The position involves close collaboration with chipset vendors, cross‑functional engineering teams, and offshore development partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Wi‑Fi Software Development
Design, develop, and test Wi‑Fi software features for gateway and extender products.
Implement and optimize Wi‑Fi functionalities on the RDK‑B platform.
Integrate and validate third‑party Wi‑Fi chipset solutions in partnership with vendor engineering teams.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
Investigate and resolve complex Wi‑Fi issues from field reports, QA teams, and partner escalations.
Provide in‑depth technical assistance to internal teams for Wi‑Fi debugging and system validation.
Collaboration & Project Execution
Coordinate with offshore team members to align development tasks and deliverables.
Present weekly status reports, technical progress, and key updates to stakeholders.
Software Maintenance & Quality
Implement bug fixes, performance improvements, and stability enhancements.
Participate in design discussions, architecture reviews, and code review processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of IEEE 802.11 / Wi‑Fi protocols (WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac/ax).
Hands‑on experience with embedded software development using C/C .
Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems and Linux-based development workflows.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and protocols such as DHCP, DNS, and HTTP.
Experience with RDK‑B or similar embedded broadband platforms.
Proficiency in Git, GitHub, or similar source control tools.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional and distributed teams.
Mandatory Qualifications
Embedded software development experience using C/C
Strong knowledge of Linux OS
Understanding of IEEE 802.11 protocols
Experience or familiarity with RDK‑B
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $32.36/hour - $50.56/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
