Data Automation QE

We are seeking a skilled Data Automation Engineer with expertise in Python automation PyTest automation framework development database testing and ETL validation The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and automation with a focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions The candidate should also be capable of leveraging AI powered development tools to enhance automation development productivity and quality while working within Agile teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and PyTest to ensure the quality of Data products

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand features develop and automate test cases and improve product quality

• Perform database testing to validate data integrity and accuracy

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand requirements and develop test plans

• Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify defects and ensure product quality

• Integrate automated tests into the CICD pipeline to ensure continuous testing

• Document test cases test results and defects in a clear and concise manner

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of the codebase

• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation AI assisted testing and database testing

• Hands-on knowledge of cloud providers such as AWS Azure or GCP including services like EC2 S3 RDS Lambda etc

• Create and maintain test data and test environments

• Troubleshoot and debug issues in test scripts frameworks and test environments

• Mentor and train junior team members on automation framework development and testing best practices

• Collaborate with developers to ensure testability of code and sufficient automation coverage

• Write and execute complex SQL queries Joins Rank Union CTEs Window Functions etc to validate data integrity and accuracy

• Develop and maintain database testing scripts and tools

• Collaborate with database administrators to resolve database related issues

• Work within Agile teams to deliver high quality database solutions

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning daily standups and retrospectives

• Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot ChatGPT Cursor or similar technologies to accelerate framework development generate test scenarios improve code quality and enhance automation productivity
  
  

Must Have skills:

• ETL process validation Database Testing and SQL Complex Queries

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP

• Strong Python programming skills with hands-on experience in PyTest

• Experience designing developing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch

• Familiarity with CICD tools and processes Jenkins GitHub Actions Azure DevOps etc

• API Test Automation

• Agile methodologies

• Good communication skills

• Experience using AI powered development tools GitHub Copilot ChatGPT Cursor etc for automation development test case generation framework enhancements and productivity improvements
  
  

Required skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field

• Proven experience with Varicent products and their implementation

• Strong proficiency in Python programming PyTest and automation framework development

• Experience building scalable and maintainable automation frameworks

• Experience with database testing including writing and executing complex SQL queries

• Familiarity with CICD tools and processes eg Jenkins GitHub Actions

• Experience with API automation testing

• Ability to effectively utilize AI assisted development tools to improve automation efficiency and framework development

• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies
  
  

Preferred Knowledge and skills:

• Experience with other automation tools and frameworks

• Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS Azure GCP

• Experience with RESTful API testing and tools Postman SoapUI

• Knowledge of version control systems Git

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices

• Experience with containerization technologies Docker Kubernetes

• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes

• Experience with PyTest plugins Allure Reporting and advanced automation framework architecture

• Hands-on experience using AI assisted software development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot ChatGPT Azure OpenAI Cursor Claude or equivalent technologies

• Ability to evaluate and adopt AI powered solutions to improve test automation coverage quality and efficiency

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.64/hour - $54.13/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
