- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance by implementing and managing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Contribute to incident response, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual toil.
- Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to embed reliability best practices throughout the Agile process.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and escalation workflows to ensure system availability and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities for DBaaS/Queuing services:
- Configure, administer, monitor, manage Cassandra/RDS/ElastiCache/Kafka clusters
- Troubleshoot production issues with Cassandra/RDS/EC/Kafka
- Tune Cassandra/Database clusters and perform Backup/Restore
- Collaborate with application development teams on data modeling, schema design, and query optimization
- Ensure data security, compliance, and adherence to best practices within the Cassandra/RDS/EC/Kafka and AWS environments
Required skills:
- Good Experience in managing, tuning and sizing on Cassandra/RDS/ElastiCache(Redis)/Kafka clusters in an operational environment in Cloud
- Good Experience in deploying and managing using Terraform and Ansible
- Experience in writing Shell Scripts and python for automation.
- Experience in Handling SRE/On call for Cassandra/RDS/EC/Kafka in Production env.
- Experience in logging/Metrics (Grafana/Prometheus etc.)
- Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC
- Familiarity with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines related to database management
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $32.36/hour - $50.56/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
