APPRENTICE NEEDED HIGH END SALON

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Apprentice for our high-end salon, offering an exceptional opportunity to develop your skills in a luxurious environment. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced stylists and professionals to gain hands-on experience across a variety of services, including hair styling, coloring, extensions, and more. Duties

• Assist senior stylists with hair treatments, styling, coloring, and extensions, including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care
• Support front desk operations such as scheduling appointments using salon software like MINDBODY, managing client check-ins and check-outs
• Maintain salon sanitation standards ensuring a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Engage with clients through excellent customer service and effective communication skills, addressing their needs and preferences
• Participate in retail sales by promoting products related to hair styling, makeup application, and retail math calculations for upselling opportunities
• Assist with store management tasks as needed, including inventory management and merchandising
• Support the team with basic store management duties and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere through positive interactions
• Learn and apply color theory, sanitation, and other cosmetology practices under supervision
• Help in training new team members through mentoring opportunities

Experience

• Prior experience in a salon environment or related field is a plus but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Knowledge of hair styling, barbering, cosmetology, or related certifications such as cosmetology or barbering license preferred
• Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY is advantageous
• Skills in retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math are beneficial for supporting store growth
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Experience with specialized services such as hair threading, makeup application, or advanced styling techniques like the use of a straight razor is desirable but not mandatory
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety within the salon environment
