Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Experienced Hairstylist to join our dynamic salon team. In this role, you will deliver expert hair styling, coloring, and extension services while providing outstanding customer care. Your expertise in various hair techniques and your ability to connect with clients will help elevate our salon’s reputation for excellence. Duties

• Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions with precision and creativity
• Consult with clients to understand their desired looks and recommend suitable treatments based on hair type and preferences
• Use salon software such as salon biz to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage bookings efficiently
• Apply advanced techniques like balayage, highlights, lowlights, and color theory principles to achieve stunning results
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety by adhering to proper sanitation protocols for tools like straight razors and other equipment
• Provide expert advice on hair care routines, retail products, and upselling opportunities to enhance client satisfaction
• Mentor junior staff or apprentices, sharing knowledge on hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and retail sales strategies

Skills

• Proven experience in professional hairstyling, coloring, and extension application
• Strong knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
• Expertise in color theory to create customized color solutions for diverse hair types
• Skilled in using tools like straight razors with precision for clean cuts or detailing work
• Ability to perform hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care treatments
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships
• Experience in store management or front desk responsibilities is a plus for supporting daily operations
• Knowledge of sanitation standards specific to cosmetology and barbering practices
• Capable of retail sales including upselling products such as styling tools or hair treatments using retail math principles
• Mentoring abilities to guide less experienced stylists or apprentices in technical skills and customer interactions
