Adult Education Cosmetology Instructor
The Community School at Cape Cod Tech is seeking a licensed Cosmetology Instructor to teach in our adult evening program beginning in September 2026.
This is a part time evening teaching position for an established adult cosmetology program serving adult learners preparing for Massachusetts licensure and employment in the cosmetology field.
Class Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Instructional Environment
The Community School provides Milady Cosmetology textbooks and instructional resources for all students. Classes are held in a fully equipped cosmetology salon and a dedicated theory classroom at Cape Cod Tech in Harwich. Facilities and materials support both hands-on skill development and classroom-based instruction aligned with Massachusetts licensure requirements.
Qualifications
Massachusetts Cosmetology Instructor license required
Experience teaching or mentoring adult learners preferred
Strong knowledge of MA cosmetology standards and licensure requirements
Ability to create a supportive, professional learning environment
Responsibilities
Deliver hands-on and theory-based instruction aligned with MA requirements
Support students in skill development, professionalism, and exam readiness
Oversee and coordinate student apprenticeships, including communication with participating salons and monitoring student progress
Maintain accurate attendance, apprenticeship, and instructional records
Collaborate with Community School staff as needed
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
