Role Overview

As an Internal Control Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of post-trade processes. This role is ideal for individuals who want to build strong technical and operational expertise while developing a career in financial services.

Key Responsibilities

You will support and help manage critical post-execution activities, including:

  • Reconciliation: Match and reconcile external reports (such as carrying broker statements and exchange data) with internal back-office systems.
  • Daily Reporting: Create and analyze daily reconciliations (statement vs. ledger) for multiple accounts and review management reports.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate static data inputs and records to support seamless trade flow.
  • Audit Support: Review and process external audit confirmations, while coordinating responses to audit requests.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Assist in possession and control processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate impacts of new regulations and industry practices and contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Trade Settlement: Track and reconcile trade settlements, fees, and discrepancies by liaising with counterparties and internal teams.
  • Collaboration: Partner with back and middle office teams to resolve trade-related issues and maintain accurate records.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain management reporting, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound business judgment.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • A team-oriented mindset, comfortable working across multiple functions and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Base salary: Starting at $50,000, plus bonus

The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held.
