Cantor is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Control Analyst to join our dynamic and collaborative Jacksonville, FL team. Role Overview
As an Internal Control Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of post-trade processes. You will work with teams across the organization—front, middle, and back office—while also supporting company-wide initiatives that improve efficiency, transparency, and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for individuals who want to build strong technical and operational expertise while developing a career in financial services.
Key Responsibilities
You will support and help manage critical post-execution activities, including:
- Reconciliation: Match and reconcile external reports (such as carrying broker statements and exchange data) with internal back-office systems.
- Daily Reporting: Create and analyze daily reconciliations (statement vs. ledger) for multiple accounts and review management reports.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate static data inputs and records to support seamless trade flow.
- Audit Support: Review and process external audit confirmations, while coordinating responses to audit requests.
- Regulatory Oversight: Assist in possession and control processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate impacts of new regulations and industry practices and contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
- Trade Settlement: Track and reconcile trade settlements, fees, and discrepancies by liaising with counterparties and internal teams.
- Collaboration: Partner with back and middle office teams to resolve trade-related issues and maintain accurate records.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain management reporting, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound business judgment.
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to present findings clearly.
- A team-oriented mindset, comfortable working across multiple functions and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Base salary: Starting at $50,000, plus bonus
The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
