Structural Steel Fitter / Fabricator

Pay: $23–$36/hr. (based on experience and skills)
Shift: 1st shift – 5:00 AM start, 10-hour shifts
Location: Coatesville, PA

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Structural Steel Fitters / Fabricators to build and assemble structural steel components. This role requires strong fitting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings and work safely with heavy steel.

Qualifications

• 2 years of structural steel fitting and fabrication experience
• AISC fabrication shop experience preferred
• Able to read and understand shop drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• Experience with carbon steel fabrication
• Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safety
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Comfortable working around heavy steel and machinery

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• Layout, fit, and fabricate structural steel components
• Measure and assemble steel to meet required dimensions
• Perform grinding, cutting, and arc gouging
• Use cutting torches and oxy-fuel equipment
• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow AISC, AWS, and OSHA safety standards
• Work with welders, fabricators, and other team members to keep production moving
