We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to join a local Foodservice Equipment Distributor based here in Richmond, VA. This is a direct hire oppotunity.
In this role, you will step into a high-impact leadership position with a growing organization in the foodservice equipment industry. Our client is seeking a motivated, hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries.
You’ll be actively involved on the floor, leading by example and working side-by-side with the warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee and participate in receiving, inspection, and inventory intake
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
Identify and resolve damaged or incorrect shipments with vendors
Coordinate and schedule deliveries with customers
Communicate delivery details clearly to drivers
Stage and prepare large equipment orders
Lead and support warehouse staff (4 direct reports) to maintain productivity and accountability
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Plan efficient delivery routes and manage timelines
Serve as the point of contact for operational issues and problem-solving
Track and improve operational efficiency and inventory accuracy
Develop and enhance warehouse workflows and systems
Accuracy of all incoming shipments
Resolution of damages and discrepancies
Smooth, on-time delivery coordination
Warehouse organization and operational efficiency
Clear communication across vendors, customers, drivers, and internal teams
3–5 years of warehouse experience (with leadership experience required)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Experience with receiving, inventory control, and logistics coordination
Comfortable communicating with vendors and customers
Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, email, ERP systems)
Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly
Reliable, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
Active warehouse and delivery setting
Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and equipment use
Blend of hands-on work and coordination responsibilities
