What You’ll Do
You’ll be a key member of our team, preparing accurate, competitive estimates that help secure exciting commercial and municipal projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Performing electrical quantity takeoffs
- Developing detailed labor and material estimates
- Soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Preparing complete bid packages and proposals
- Attending site visits and pre-bid meetings
- Identifying project risks and value-engineering opportunities
- Working closely with Project Managers through project handoff
- Assisting with change orders and project budgeting
- Building strong relationships with customers, vendors, engineers, and general contractors
What You’ll Bring
Required
- 3 years of estimating experience in electrical construction, lighting, low voltage, fire alarm, security systems, or related construction trades
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook & Word)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- OSHA 30 and SST certifications (or ability to maintain required certifications)
Preferred
- Construction Management or Engineering degree
- Experience with commercial electrical construction and lighting projects
- Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
- Experience using estimating software
- Design-Build or Design-Assist experience
