About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Engineering & Facilities Manager to lead all engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations within our manufacturing site. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, optimizing processes, and maintaining infrastructure to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is a key member of the Plant Operations leadership team.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide direction for Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities teams
- Oversee all manufacturing equipment, tooling, and plant infrastructure
- Lead facilities operations including utilities, building systems, and grounds
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety-first culture across all operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal safety standards
- Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and incident reduction
Team & Department Management
- Manage staffing, budgets, performance metrics, and resource planning
- Conduct performance evaluations and develop team capabilities
- Foster collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement
Maintenance & Operations
- Ensure execution of preventive maintenance and equipment readiness
- Maintain technical expertise across equipment and facility systems
- Oversee CMMS performance and maintenance planning
Program Launch & Execution
- Lead cross-functional teams through launch readiness processes
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Program teams
- Ensure successful implementation of new programs and equipment
Engineering Change & Development
- Oversee Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes
- Support product and process development for manufacturability and efficiency
- Drive improvements in cost, quality, and production performance
Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, throughput, and reliability
- Implement best practices, new technologies, and process enhancements
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- 5 years of management experience in automotive manufacturing
- Experience in Just-In-Time (JIT) assembly and sequencing operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
- Experience managing CMMS systems and maintenance operations
- Hands-on experience with automation (robotics, conveyors, fastening systems)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and MS Office
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
